About NCLRA
Who is NCLRA?
The National Construction Labour Relations Alliance of Canada Inc.(NCLRA) is a nationally registered not-for-profit organization comprised of Employer Bargaining Agencies (EBA) in the unionized construction industry. The EBAs are responsible for negotiations on behalf of a wide range of contractors, from large-scale industrial to smaller residential work, in a wide array of workplaces, from single-trade operations to multi-trade general contractors. Our members represent hundreds of unionized contractors across the country who employ hundreds of thousands of workers in the construction and maintenance industry across Canada.
The NCLRA was formed in 2002 to address the specific needs of the unionized construction industry. Prior to 2002, there was a labour relations division of the Canadian Construction Association. As time passed, the agencies and the unionized contractors determined that a new organization was needed to fully reflect their interests and voices.
